Who I am: I love getting out and enjoying the finer things in life with good friends and family. Some of my favorite things are Wakeboarding, Snowboarding, Surfing, and basically any/all extreme sports. I grew up riding motorcycles and spending every weekend at the lake or camping during the summers, and skiing/snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winters. I'm always down to meet new people and love spreading the love and the Word. We're all in this together, let's enjoy life together and do our best to brighten peoples' and our own days!
I've got the best family and the best friends in the world, meaning I couldn't have been more blessed with what I have. I love the Lord, He made me and He guides me to live a life pleasing to Him and exciting for me. Everything's an adventure.

Road Trip: We're on the road right now! I'm really excited to see what this trip is going to hold. I've got 4 awesome friends with me and we're working hard to spread Kavadba and Elevated, the brands and the lifestyle, accross the United States of America. I think I'm most excited to see who all we meet, and how we can hopefully make a difference in peopel's lives with the way God has changed our's and blessed our's. To see how far and wide Kavadba spreads is going to be really exciting!!

08-23-10: Is it really all over with?
We're all finished with the Road Trip, but it's not really over is it? We've still got videos coming on the website and lot's of pictures/updates to do. Zach is moving to LA in a couple of days, and Brook and I will be following him down shortly, within a couple of weeks. It'll be round two from there! Stay posted for more videos and pictures.
I'd just like to take a second and thank God for all of the possibilities and opportunities that we had. What an incredible thing. Also, thank you to everyone who supported us. We had so much fun and really got to promote Kavadba and Elevated in a unique way which will no doubt carry into the future in the way that I run this company. Thanks to all of my family and friends, you are the greatest, and thank you to everyone who helped us along the way.

08-08-10:
What I'm Learning

This trip has been a really cool experience for me. This very well may be the first time in my life where I've honestly had to step up and take charge of everything. I'm leading this trip, and in most other areas of my life I've had someone with me higher up who called the shots. Sure I've developed leadership skills over the years and had plenty of chances to see them in action here and there, but never like this.
I've got 4 other guys who I have to keep motivated, as well as myself, and the hardest part is trying to make decisions that will benefit not only the company, but each one of us. It's a hard thing to do, but it's caused me to grow a lot and to see the world through a little older eyes. I feel more self sufficient, a little wiser, a little more in a position to take charge and be my own man.
As I write all of this I can't help but laugh because in my mind I sound like a little kid getting his first taste of freedom, but that's not it at all. I've gone through the steps before, I've been my own man, I know where my identity lies, I have lead people, I understand the purpose of my life, but this has really been a growing period that is noteworthy enough to add to who I am.

07-29-10:
Greenville, SC
We're chilling in Greenville, SC right now, it's amazing. We stayed in New Orleans, Dauphin Island, AL, and Pensacola, FL. We got rained out on the beach at 4:00 AM when we were sleeping on the tent tarp under the stars and had to crawl into the van soaking wet in Pensacola. Now we're in Greenville, SC. We have a few days to chill here, we're selling at the flea market here all weekend and it's a sweet place to be. There're a ton of people out and about, the town has a great feel, full of art and nice scenery, and it's all very cool.

07-23-10:
Hot Hot Heat

Man it's hot in here! That's the thought that travels through my mind at least once a minute. The farther South and East we go, the more noticeable the humidity and the heat are every waking moment that we're not inside with AC. It almost reminds me of getting licked in the face with a wet, foamy, fat St. Bernard's tongue... Not that there's anything wrong with that. But hey, all I can say is, "ROAD TRIP!"
It's been great so far. We've had nothing but amazing hospitality up until this point. Thanks everyone who's been a part of it with us. We just left Dallas, Texas today and we're heading for New Orleans, where I'm told there's a tropical storm abrew! We just might get a top story hotel room and watch giant waves crash on the beach with palm trees blowing fiercely in step with the wind while abnormally large raindrops fall on our stupid faces! We'll see... we'll see.
On another note, we went bungee jumping today at 76 feet up, and also did a 150 ft freefall into a net at the Speed Zone in Dallas. Stay posted for videos! Zach's working hard to keep them coming... and I'm sorry to everyone that gets to see me naked in the next one who doesn't want too... : ) Ahhh... No I'm Not!!!
To all of my friends and family: I miss you!
To all of my new friends and the people we've been meeting: It's been great, stay in touch!
And last but not least, the Kavadba Team is trying to meet up with the singer LIGHTS. We've been in touch with some of her close personel, and hopefully we can catch her at her show in Vienna, VA on August 1. Check her out at www.iamlights.com

07-09-10: On The Road!
What do 5 guys, one van, 15,000 miles and the Adventure of a Lifetime have in common? The're all part of the Kavadba Summer Road Trip. We're now on day 5 and we've hit up quite a bit of good times..
Day 1: Night one resulted in us exploring Coeur d'Alene, ID and sleeping in a gravel pit, BBQ-ing tacos in the dark, and sleeping on the cold hard ground under the stars! I woke up around 8:30 to the sun warming the air and a giddy feeling in my bones! I think realization finally hit me; after 3 long weeks of crazy busyness, at last I was on the Road Trip. I spent a little time in the morning reading, praying and thinking about what was next, soaking in some sunshine for the first time in a while, and slowly, one by one, everyone else began to rouse.
Day 2-3: The first order of business was to run a mile and do some stretching, and thus started day 2. We got kicked out of a bmx park (respectfully) for showing our products, and then headed to Spokane where we met some awesome skaters and sold our first products. From there we bombed towards Seattle, overheated the van, ate some Japanese food (keeping the place open an hour and a half past closing on accident) and got a good nights sleep at Alex Lee's house (a friend of Brook's). We hit up Pikes market in the morning and then held a sale on Golden Gardens Beach. We killed it all day and then threw a big bonfire that night with an awesome group of locals who got really into Kavadba and Elevated. We wrapped up the night, and in the morning headed to Portland, OR.
Day 4: In Portland, holding true to the Bucket List, after having a cool eating experience at Old Town Pizza, we set off to The Horse Brass where we enjoyed one of their many fine selections of exotic beers and I convinced the guys to have a "Scotch Egg." Check one item off the bucket list!
If you've never had a Scotch Egg before, make your way out to The Horse Brass in Portland and try the fine English appetizer for yourself. You won't be dissapointed.
From The Horse Brass, we headed out to some Hot Springs we'd caught wind about. (We're keeping the location secret, but you can see videos and find it for yourself if you do a little research). It was an amazing hike in the forrest at 12:00 am to get there, through giant ageless cedars and mossy rocks, waterfalls, and streams. We hot springed it up all night and then camped in the woods.
Day 5: When we woke up this morning we hiked to a waterfall and showered underneath it. The only problem was that by the time we got halfway down the trail back to our Kavadba Van we were hot again and "lo and behold" another series of waterfalls that we could jump off of into deep pools. We spent an hour sliding down natural slides into deep green pools of brisk water and jumping off of fallen logs into frothy swimming holes.
The rest of today has been driving back to Portland, finding out that the Burnside Skatepark is home to no-one with a sense of ambition or excitement, and catching that our trailer tire was minutes away from blowing out just in time to get it changed and get back on the road towards Seal Rock, OR on the COAST!!
We hope you guys are enjoying our website and we'll put tons of fun things up for you as soon as we can stop for internet on our trip.
God bless,

Machi

Crazyness!
So far, for the last week, Zach, Brook and I have been printing like crazy. The products are all turning out amazing and we can't wait to spread them around the U.S. I'm running on a lack of sleep right now, hint hint none, and right in the middle of making screens with some new designs.
It's so busy right now that we don't have much time for the small details of things, but in the next week, expect there to be some updates on the other guys' blog pages and hopefully more info on our Sponsors, etc... Stay Tuned.

06-17-10:
Zach, Brook and I are beginning to knock out some sick new Kavadba and El3vated Clothing. All of the products are turning out great, and we're stoked for you all to rock it. I can't stop thinking about all of the fun we're going to have on this trip. Keep rooting for us, keep praying for us, and get in touch so we can come chill with you all.

05-20-10:
Hey Everyone, thanks for checking out the Kavadba Road Trip Website. I'm building things as fast as I can, so keep checking back. It won't be long until the Kavadba Team is all together and we'll all start updating our profiles and posting updates here. In the mean time, I just graduated college from MSU with a BFA in Graphic Design. I'm pretty excited about what's next in life, and can't wait to see where this Road Trip takes us.
If you want to see me graduating in my kilt, Check it out, I'm pretty excited. I pretty much had too, I mean, you only graduate once or twice, so why wear a gown?
   I'll post more soon!
