Your Role

Machi Block is the founder of Kavadba and Elevated Clothing. He built this website, and pieces of his story are spread throughout the pages. You can learn more about how Kavadba and Elevated began by going to "Who We Are."

Machi is approaching becoming a college graduate from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT. He's going to school for Graphic Design, and originally started as a Mechanical Engineering major. However, the passion to pursue Kavadba and Elevated Clothing was always present with him since their start, and he couldn't help but feel he was going to waylay himself from pursuing them should he get a degree in Engineering. So after two years of hard work in that major, he made a prayerful decision to pursue Graphic Design and the Clothing company. This change in majors has lead him to a total of 6 incredible years at MSU. The extra time has been taxing to some degree, but he wouldn't trade the friendships he's made and the things he's gotten to learn, do, and see as a result of extending his time in school.

Machi is in charge of all of the workings of the company at this point. It's been a challenge to balance school, life, and the company all at once sometimes, but he loves what he does and take great joy in having Kavadba and Elevated, considering it an incredible blessing. He is the designer for all of the products to date except one design he commissioned his Grandma to do because she is an incredible calligrapher. This control over the creative processes of the company has helped develope the intricacies of the designs, the meaning put into the designs, and the overall look, feel, and direction of Kavadba and Elevated. He is very thankful that his personal style can uniquely be put onto each product and worn with significance by the fans of Kavadba and Elevated. It's awesome to have a creative outlet where he can produce products that not only influence people's fashion, but accent and promote a positive lifestyle.

He considers God to be the most important person in his life. He has been richly blessed in knowing in Whom he trusts, and does his best to give all things into God's will for him. He says the reason that God is such a big influence is becaus he realizes how easy it is to get off track with life and begin pursuing things that will never fulfill you and only create a thirst for more. To be saved from, that.. to know true fulfillment and have the incredible peace that knowing God brings... that's Kavadba, when you aren't enslaved to anything and you've been freed up to just live, love, and enjoy. That truly is the abundant life.

Machi loves getting out and living life, experiencing it to the fullest. Work, school, and life get so busy sometimes, and the things you love can easily bog you down, so it's important to realize the need for a balance of fun and hard work on both ends of the spectrum. Among many many things, Machi loves wakeboarding, snowboarding, hanging at the lake with good friends and family, climbing/hiking mountains, camping, traveling, and really anything that just lets him experience life with good people, including meeting new people. His favorite car is his '71 Mustang that his dad and he rebuilt and customized while he was in highschool. You can see it in the pictures above.

Zach and Machi Block, Brook Sward, and cousin Daniel Block, with one other friend will be doing the Kavadba Road Trip this summer 2010. A 15,000 mile adventure promoting Kavadba and Elevated Clothing as well as Lifestyle all accross the United States. The five men have created a bucket list of all of the things they've ever wanted to do, and will set out to get some American Kavadba, all the while filming and making a documentary of thier exploits.
